In a time when the world is emptied out, a group of orphans set out on a quest to find their family. Led by a boy named Sizzlean, the orphans travel far and wide in a strange and empty land. Alone in the world, the children create identities for themselves based on stories from the childhood. Sizzlean is a pirate, the others are tigers and princesses. Consulting an oracle dubbed 'the Captain', Sizzlean leads his friends into the unknown. However, when one of the orphans loses faith, Sizzlean must redeem himself and discover the true meaning of family.
