Join obscure holiday documentarian F. Nicholas Coppola as he spotlights one man's quest to gain recognition for the little known Irish holiday of Pog Mo Thoin. Pog Mo Thoin is a feast celebrating the return of the potato to Ireland following the potato famine. There Will be Spud follows furniture maker Melvin Lyons in his quest to get Pog Mo Thoin recognized here in the states. There Will Be Spud was produced during the 2008 Portland 24 Hour Film Project.
