The life of Alex, a simple casual laborer and sometimes trucker, is thrown into turmoil when he meets Lilli, fourteen years young and very attractive. She had boarded his pickup truck secretly at his last rest stop. “Actually I only wanted to throw myself in front of the prettiest car…” are her words of introduction. His first reaction is to get rid of her, but increasingly he succumbs to her female charm. He is intrigued by a Japanese comic book she holds in her hand titled “Eiko”. It tells the story of a young girl’s abuse and her collection of old mens’ shoes she keeps as “trophies”. Her plump and obvious attempts to seduce him confuse him and awaken a protective and caring desire for her. A strong and bizarre dynamism develops in the relationship between the two unequal loners. In a rest stop diner Lili throws a fit embarrassing Alex, He leaves the diner angrily and drives away alone.Perturbed by his guilty conscience he turns around returns to the rest stop to look after the strange girl. But there is no trace of her at the diner. In his pickup he finds Lili’s backpack on the back seat. In it he finds worn men’s shoes. He understands that the Comic’s story really was her own – she was the cruelly abused girl.Distraught he drives on. Arriving at his next rest stop he sees a truck with the back door slightly open. Inside he finds the shoeless corpse of a man. He hears the sound of a horn, squeaking wheels – and the thump of a body against a car.
