I loved this film. The acting is superb, including fellow Crooked Lane cast member Brett Cullen, whose rugged charm is at odds with his character's inability to connect with his wife Kim Bassinger. A beautifully hopeful and powerful movie. Charlize Theron's pain is evident throughout, but never telegraphed. The young actors in the film are amazingly subtle and heartfelt. I admire the director's restraint in telling the story--he never goes for the cheap or gratuitously violent choice, ie Brett's character, who painfully choses compassion. I loved the pacing, which was not rushed, but never slow.
